My mother-in-law is in a nursing home and needed new shoes. She has some foot and stability problems so I asked the nurses for a few suggestions about what type of shoes we could buy her. Two nurses told me to get Dansko's. I had never heard of that brand but I did a search and landed on Clogs Central. Lured by free shipping and no tax charges, I jumped in and bought a pair of these expensive shoes.
What Clogs Central Sells

This site is very simple as far as style. You can choose from women's clogs, shoes, sandals, or boots or men's clogs from the links on the left side of the home page. You can also select a style from a drop down box.
From there, you will see a couple pages of thumbnail pictures. Click on a style you like and you will see the footwear in a larger form along with a very thorough description and the price. If you find a style you like, pick a size and color and add it to your cart.
When finished shopping, you go to the checkout. There is no shipping which is a relief because the prices of Dansko footwear is quite steep.
They accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover Card. You can call your order in at that point, mail a money order or check, fax the order, or continue on to the online checkout page.
You fill out the usual info and are told that if you are an AOL member, you will not get an email and to try to supply an alternative email. I have no idea why that is but AOL is screwy, in my opinion, anyway.
Enter your credit card and expiry details and that's that! You get an immediate letter confirming the order and, in a day or so, another with tracking info.
Orders are sent via UPS and you should receive yours within a week or so.
My Experience
This whole process was very painless. I knew I wanted shoes with a back so I searched through the shoes and found ones that seemed perfect for my mother-in-law. I clicked on her size, which were in stock, and zipped on through to the checkout. Admittedly, I was a little shocked by the high prices of the shoes but they do carry the Seal of Acceptance from the American Podiatric Medical Association.
I used a MasterCard and got an email immediately with my order number and, the next day, I received another email giving me my tracking number which can be done right on their site.
I received the shoes in about a week boxed well and just as described. They fit my mother-in-law fine and will last for a long time.
Shipping and returns
Shipping is always free and there is no sales tax anywhere in the US. That's a huge plus, isn't it?
Unworn footwear can be returned for a full refund within 45 days of purchase. You can exchange items as well, either by ordering the correct pair and paying for them and then returning the pair that you don't want or by returning the first pair and waiting for the exchange.

My Recommendation
If you're willing to pay the high prices for these shoes and if you like the styles offered, this site is a great one to get Dansko footwear. With no shipping charges or tax and a generous returns and exchange policy, along with seemingly flawless ordering and shipping, I can't think of much more an online store could do to make a customer happy. There isn't a lot of bling or flashing on the site — which is a plus in my eyes — but descriptions are very well written and everything you need to know is on the site. They have a toll free number for ordering or questions as well as a responsive email address.
I have to go with 5 stars. This was a flawless shopping experience although I probably won't be back unless my mother-in-law happens to need new shoes since the styles on the site are not the type I wear. Still, for those who do wear the styles sold, you'll have an overall fine experience at Clogs Central.
