CZ Fantasy
My love affair with CZ Fantasy started when I was flipping through a magazine and saw a beautiful cubic zirconia initial pendant advertised. I had wanted one and the letter "P" wasn't easy to find in the malls.
I got right online and went to CZ Fantasy to check out the site.
Navigating the Site
The website is very simple. There are no frills and no flash. The home page advertises their best selling items or specials and has a menu across the left side for easy navigation. You click on the type of item (Replica Celebrity, Replica Designer, Ladies Silver Rings, Pendants, etc) and a listing, with photos, of all the current items in that category will come up. Clicking on a photo of an item will supersize it and you can get a better view of what you are considering purchasing. The price is prominently displayed and the details given are accurate and straightforward.
When you decide you want to purchase an item, you place it in your shopping cart, choose a size if applicable and a quantity, and keep on shopping (and shopping and shopping in my case).
You will see, throughout the website, mentions of wholesale buyers and links for them to click to get special wholesale pricing. I will get to this little secret in a moment.
The website gives you a toll free number to call if you have any questions and customer service is very friendly. I have contacted them via email and phone and have always been treated fairly and whatever questions I had were answered quickly and thoroughly.
There is a FAQs section which should answer most of your questions and a testimonials page which is filled with the usual glowing testimonials from shoppers and any media outlets which have mentioned the site in a positive way.
You must open an account to complete your transaction. This consists of giving your name, address, phone number and billing address, if different from your shipping address, as well as your email address. You will then be asked to pick a user name and password for return visits and to check on the status of your order. An email confirmation is sent to you immediately and, when your items are shipped out, you will receive another email with a tracking number so that you can track where your package is and when it will arrive.
Quality
Everything I have bought from CZ Fantasy has looked better than it did on the website. The cz's are sparkling and beautiful and the settings are shiny and durable. I have never had to send anything back because of a defect or a missing stone. I have had many compliments on my jewelry and most people believe I am wearing real diamonds or other gemstones even when I tell them straight out I'm not. I love costume jewelry and would rather have a lot of fun pieces that I can lose and not be too upset about, than ultra expensive pieces that I stress about when I am out. Because I stress wearing my expensive or treasured jewelry for anything but special occasions, I have several pieces of platinum, white and yellow gold, diamond and other gemstone jewelry that I never or rarely wear. CZ Fantasy allows me to be a little bit bling bling without the worry of possibly breaking or losing a treasured piece. I have purchased many items from the site for gifts and would never give a gift of jewelry if I felt it was of poor quality or "tacky."
If you like celebrity replica jewelry, which I do personally do not, there is quite a large selection of knock offs of famous jewelry such as Britney Spears' and Jessica Simpson's wedding rings, lots of Jennifer Lopez-like pieces, and even a knock off of Donald Trump's engagement ring to Melania Knauss.
Also, for those who like designer inspired jewelry, CZ Fantasy has it. Tiffany items are the most prevalent and are stunning. I have actual pieces from Tiffany's and the items from CZ Fantasy, while not exact replicas, sure do look a lot like the real thing and catch people's eyes wherever I go.
Most items are for women but there is a smaller section for men's jewelry as well.
They recently added purses, wallets, body jewelry, sunglasses, and assortment of other accessories.
Selection
There is a lot of variety on this website. Whether you like dainty jewelry or "make a statement" chunky items, they have it. The stock is ever changing to keep up with current fads and styles and is updated quite often. There is a very limited selection of 14K gold and white gold items. Most items are in sterling or rhodium and the yellow items are mostly in gold plated brass which looks and wears like real gold. I have yet to have any yellow item fade or 'wear down".
This sites sells rings, pendants (without chains), bracelets, necklaces (with chains), earrings, pins, brooches, plain chains for pendants, and accessories such as ring boxes and jewelry cleaner. They also offer catalogs for those interested in selling from home, as well as "grab bags" of several styles of rings for a reduced price.
One thing that I found to be a slight problem is that they only sell rings in whole sizes, therefore if you are a size 5.5 like me, you will have to buy a size 6 and deal with the slight difference that a half of a ring size makes on your finger. This is the only slight negative to the site.
Out of Stock Items, Shipping Times, Return Policy
You will see immediately if the item you want is in stock. If it isn't, you will be given a date that it will be ready for shipping. Usually you will get your item before that date but do use that as a reference if you need a piece for a particular event. Shipping takes around a week from when you place your order, depending on location and other variables and should also be taken into account when buying out of stock items. I have never bought an out of stock item and then was told it was unavailable to me. The dates they advertise that an item will be back in stock are usually very accurate.
There is a good return policy. If you don't like an item or if an item is defective, you can return it with 30 days from the date your item was delivered. You can exchange or receive a full refund minus shipping and handling.
They accept major credit cards as well as checks.
Shipping Costs, etc.
CZ Fantasy ships worldwide. In the US, for retail buyers, shipping is a flat rate of $9.00 for UPS ground (2-7 day) shipping no matter how many items you buy. Two day shipping costs $15. Overnight costs $25.
According to the FAQ on the site, shipping cost outside the US is a flat $8.00 for up to two pounds and then is based on weight. There are also faster shipping methods which cost more.
Obviously those who are buying more than one item will benefit from the flat shipping rate more than those who are buying, say, a tiny pair of earrings.
My items have arrived in about a week from placing my order but I have waited up to 11 days for an order during the holidays.
And Now For My Secret!
While shopping on the site the first time, I found my cz initial pendant and chain and was very happy with the $17.95 price. But, because I used to sell items on ebay and other online auctions, I was itching to see what the wholesale prices were for the items I had been looking at. In order to see the wholesale prices, you must register the same way as you would if you were purchasing retail. I did that and discovered that the only prerequisite to buying wholesale is that you have to spend at least $50.00 at one time before shipping and handling. You don't need to be a business owner or to be a reseller. $50.00 may seem like a lot but when you see the amazing discounts, you may want to go for a wholesale account and do a bit of gift shopping and stocking up. Or get together with a friend or two and make one large order and save big bucks.
The same pendant that I was prepared to pay $17.95 for retail sold for $6.50! The prices are incredible! You can expect at least a 50% discount if not more on every item except clearance and accessories with has a smaller discount.
I cancelled my retail order and bought several items for gifts and, admittedly, myself the first time I ordered. Shipping is slightly more for wholesale buyers. I paid around $13.95 for a $102.00 order. The return policy is a 10 day one for wholesale buyers so, if you choose to go this route, be sure to check over your items right away and send back anything you don't like or that doesn't fit within 10 days.
The items you buy wholesale are the exact same ones you see on the site selling for retail. You simply have the discounted wholesale price highlighted in red.
Bottom Line
CZ Fantasy is one of my favorite websites for costume jewelry. The quality is terrific, the site is easy to navigate, and check out is simple. Customer service is always there to help you out and I have never had a problem with the many items I have purchased over the past two years. The retail prices are very competitive and the wholesale prices are simply too good to be true (but they are).
I wholeheartedly recommend this site. Whether you want one classy piece of cz jewelry, a whole bunch of fun pieces, or are into reselling, this is the place to go. This site is a sort of hidden treasure cove of high quality costume jewelry that should be known to everyone who likes to shop online.
Although I don't resell, I suspect someone who is interested in selling CZ Fantasy jewelry would have no problem making a nice profit considering the incredibly low wholesale prices offered.
I am still in love with CZ Fantasy after over two years and every female in my family sports a shiny cz initial pendant, thanks to me and my little wholesale obsession. This site is definitely worth looking at and comparing prices with similar sites that may be more well known.
