If You Like Music or Movies, Then Be Sure to Check Here First

Djangos

If you like to listen to music or watch movies, then you've got to give Djangos a look. The have a huge selection of new and used CDs, VHS, and DVD. They don't have everything in the world you might want, but I've never seen a store that did. I checked on David Allan Coe's Nothing Sacred. That's an outlaw biker CD sold at concerts. Though they didn't have it, they did have a listing. That's more than most music stores have. I use the Coe CD and Poco's Rose of Cimarron when I want to check how extensive a collection might be. They didn't even list Rose, but I think it's only on vinyl and cassette.

Djangos is a brick-and-mortar based out of Portland, Oregon and with more stores around the country now. Sadly, they don't have one near me. Then again, that could be good. I would buy way too much if I saw this place all the time.

They added the online component, and it can be used at the store or straight online. If you go to one of their stores, they can look for an item that you want and that they don't have stocked where you're shopping. Or, you can go online and do your own searching and shopping. Since I don't have a store near and since I prefer to take my time and look at reviews as I'm shopping, Djangos online is just the kind of shopping I love.

If you know what you're looking for, then just put the title or the artist in the search bar and hit enter. If you just want to look around, then go to genre in music or movies and check the alphabetical listings.

Be sure to check the specials too. Last month, they cleared some stock with $2.99 on used videos. This month, they have a $4.99 sale and also $7.99 on all used CDs valued at less than $17.99. They often have free shipping codes, but you can always order $50 and get free shipping anytime. If you make a smaller order without a coupon, then it runs $1.99 for the first item and $.99 for each item after that. This is a really nice deal, because the items may all come from one store or from several depending on what you order.

When I went to visit Djangos, I had in mind to check some videos about journalism to consider for my classes. Most of those are older, so all the ones I plugged in ran $2.99. I can't rent from Blockbuster for less (and they don't have the selection either), so I just bought three titles on VHS — Broadcast News, Sleepers, and The Killing Fields.

Djangos shipped my videos out really fast. It was 3 or 4 days from the time I ordered until my movies came, and I live in a rural area. I generally look at about a week to get items that I order online, so I was impressed.

Though the items I ordered were used, they were in terrific condition. They had original covers with a little blue seal across the opening. When I opened the videos, they were in perfect condition and played without a hitch.

The only thing I would add to Djangos would be reviews. It's nice to read up on items before buying. Of course, I can always read reviews and then pop over to Djangos and search for things that I take an interest in.

Djangos is just wonderful! I'm working on a wish list now (they have a place to do that at the site), and I'll certainly buy more videos and music from this company. My DVD player has not come in (I did break down and order one), and I'll be looking to build a DVD collection too. With these prices, it won't take long. This is what online shopping should be, and I'm sure glad that a friend wrote the review that turned me on to this store even if I hate it when the credit card bill comes in every month. Of course, I can always remember how much money I saved shopping at places like Djangos over going out in town here where prices are high.
