One thing I love about the Internet is that you can find small business owners setting up shop and making a go of it. With Wal-Mart forcing so many little guys out around towns across the country, it's nice to find regular guys and girls with big dreams finding homes on the world wide web.
Recently I ran across a delightful shop owned by Mette. She is the queen of toes (and fingers). Her mission is to ensure that folks don't end up with infections. So, she sells personal manicure/pedicure kits. You take them with you and don't have to worry about whether your manicurist or pedicurist is doing all the sanitation required. I've seen enough horror stories that I would not chance it, so the personal kits are a really fabulous idea.
Mette's site is girl-i-cure. See, you can remember that it's a spin off of manicure or pedicure. Just put "girl" in there and the dashes. Of course, guys need nail attention too, so don't be shy guys. And, there are great gifts for your favorite females if you're determined you're not going to get fussy with the nails. Really, girls do love these sorts of things.
What I adore at Mette's site are the toe rings. Those are just so cute. I have the frog and have a list started to get more for gifts for family and friends. Really, these are blingy and sure to impress when the weather is warm. They are one size fits all which is usually a big ha-ha. Try a bra labeled like that. But, seriously, the ring part is a little clear band that rolls on and then conforms to fit. I was afraid it would cut off my circulation, but I don't even notice when I'm wearing it.
Mette also has adorable boxes for your toe rings if you get addicted. I am trying hard not to become addicted. I may not be successful. I am wanting one of those flowers so bad I can't hardly stand it.
This is a small personal store, and currently the purchasing is through PayPal. That is a bummer for those without PayPal accounts, but super easy if you have one.
Shipping is lightning fast. I got an email after I ordered saying that they were sorry not to get my order out the day it was ordered. Heck. I think that was late at night when I ordered. In any case, Mette sent out a little toe separator set (helps with polishing toe nails) to make up for mailing a day later. Her package got here in four days, which is great with a small town. She sure didn't owe me an extra gift. I was quite impressed with the speed of shipment and the email and gift.
I sure hope Mette hangs in there and makes it. She is one of the nicest sellers I've come across online, and I order online all the time. I recommend her without reservations. She works really hard and gets in touch and has great products. I wish I could show everyone my frog toe ring. I am just so loving it. And, I know other folks would think it's neat.
I'll have to go 4 stars, since the pay method may cut some out. But, it would be worth getting a PayPal account to deal with Mette and to shop at girl-i-cure. I can't think of any way she could be a better business person to deal with. I hope she is wonderfully successful, because she deserves to be.
