An Inviting Website That Treats Customers Like People, Not Numbers

One of the things I love is discovering new brands of beauty products. One of those brands I recently discovered is Jaqua and I love their stuff. I purchased a number of Jaqua products, mostly from their official website.
I like the site and the customer service is great!
What Jaqua Beauty Sells
A large variety of very yummy body butters, shower syrups, body mists, lotions, scrubs, facial products, bath and body kits, and more all in their signature Jaqua packaging.
Navigation
The site is simple in that there is no flashing stuff or music blaring. It is very homey, much like the packaging of their products.
The home page welcomes you with some photos and a load of links at the bottom to find whatever you want fast. Everything is just a click away, making shopping on the site a breeze. You can also perform search via their search box.
Choose a link or photo to get started. The products are presented well, with good photos and nice descriptions. It's really hard to resist some of the items because they are presented as luscious. (And most live up to that word!). Once you are inside the site, there are links on the left side for all their product lines, sorted by scent. Their scents range from Buttercream Frosting, Mint Chocolate, Passion Fruit Cocktail, Rose Bergamont, and many others that change and are added frequently.
If you want to buy a product, click to add it to your cart. Continue until you are done shopping and then move on to the checkout.
When you get there, the first thing you will do is to input your city, state, and zip code to calculate your shipping costs. Shipping is free for orders over $75.00 and according to area and weight under that amount.
You can choose from standard UPS Ground shipping or two other expedited shipping options. Once you choose your shipping method, you're off to finish your transaction.
If you are not a Jaqua VIP (I will explain that further down), you will need to fill out your personal info and email address and supply a Visa, MasterCard, or American Express number and expiry.
That's it. The order will be processed and you will receive a confirmation email right away. A shipping email will come a day or so later.
Your order should arrive within a week or so.
My Experience
I love to see what Jaqua has to offer and, although I can buy their products at various higher end websites like Sephora or Victoria's Secret, I find that some of the best sales are on Jaqua Beauty. I head straight for the sale items and have gotten great deals on full size products on that site.
Also, I signed up to become a Jaqua VIP. All you need to do to become a VIP is to fill out a registration form with your personal info (name, address, phone, and email address). Once registered, a VIP gets email specials and sale offers, can track their pending orders and see their order history, can have a wish list, and has access to e-postcards and wallpapers, and other perks. Your credit card info is not saved so it is to your advantage to sign up and catch the good sales and members only exclusives.
I have no problem navigating the site and adding to my cart is simple. Checkout, with or without prior registration, takes only moments.
I get my orders in about a week, as described. However, one of my orders containing two kits had a bath syrup in it and it had leaked during shipping.
It was self-contained so it didn't ruin everything else but I wrote to Jaqua customer service about the problem and was contacted by them giving me options for fixing the problem. I could return the whole kit at their expense for a new one or they would send me a new bath syrup and I could discard the leaky one. I opted to just have the syrup sent to me because the kit was for me and not a gift and the other products were not ruined.
I received my bath syrup and a new foldable box that the kit came in quickly and all is fine.
Customer service is really understanding. During all this, my father passed on and I didn't get back to them about what I wanted to do about the leaky syrup. Eventually I wrote to them and they sent their condolences via email and sent the syrup out as promised although a few weeks had passed without me contacting them about the problem.
The tone of the emails was friendly and very human, unlike many department stores that have automated responses or automated people responding.
All of my other orders have been fine and I got some great deals on the site. They took care of the one problem I had, giving me a few options to choose from that would satisfy me.
Shipping and Returns
Shipping is based on location and weight. I paid around $8.00 shipping for my last order which was about $46.00 and quite heavy. I was not charged sales tax. It is free for orders over $75.00. You will be given an option of three shipping speeds before checkout and the shipping costs of each.
Here is where I get a little antsy. I can't find a returns policy on the site. I don't know why these smaller official companies don't take time to add a returns policy link to their site but I am seeing that more and more often.
I certainly had no problem with customer service when I needed a replacement product and I believe they will stand by their products and make sure you are happy. Still, I would like to see that in writing.

I do not have a physical address for the company and I never looked at the return address labels when I received my orders so I can't provide that to you.
Conclusion
Shopping on the Jaqua Beauty website is like browsing at a boutique. The packaging is so homey and the descriptions are very tempting. Navigation is easy and the sales and specials are really good. Most importantly, perhaps, is that the customer service reps are friendly and accommodating and treat you like a person not a number. Any website can send products to you. It's how they deal with problems or questions that really tells the tale.
Sometimes you can find an item or two cheaper on clearance on one of the websites that sell their products but, often, their specials beat the other sites so check around before buying if you think an item is on sale at one of the satellite websites. Still, I suggest shopping on the official site in general as they have the full line of products for you browse and purchase.
Jaqua Beauty gets high scores in all areas but one. Not having a returns policy stated on the site. I do think they will accommodate returns and know they address any shipping problems but I don't like to assume anything when it comes to online shopping.
I will continue to shop at Jaqua Beauty because I trust them and I get some great specials and deals. I give this site 4 stars. I would go with 5 if they had a stated returns policy on the site.
