Not Very Exotique But a Good Lingerie Website For All Sizes

If one more person asks me, "Just how much lingerie do you need, anyway?" I will snap. I must admit, I am in love with lingerie and love to browse different sites to see what they have to offer and if they have any good deals for me to snap up. One of my last sprees was on Lingerie Exotique.
That's quite an exotic name for a website but, really, it's just a good lingerie site that really isn't all that exotic or different but has a lot of variety and reasonable prices.
What the Site Sells
This site sells lingerie of every variety for women of all sizes including plus sizes. They also carry a small variety of men's wear as well as some shoes and clothing that you have to be very brave to wear out of the house. Also, they have a line of accessories such as gloves, boas, and garters.
Navigation and Variety
There are a load of categories to choose from and a wide variety of styles, fabrics, and colors. Lingerie ranges from demure to racy and from inexpensive to somewhat costly but nothing is really overpriced.
The home page greets you with some pics of their merchandise on models and info you need to know. Down the left side are links to many categories of lingerie and other items first in misses sizes, then in plus sizes. There is also a search box that works fairly well if you know what you are looking for. The site isn't very exotic or exciting but photos are good and sharp and descriptions are adequate.
There are also links for what's new, sales, clearance items, and customer service. Everything is very simple to find.
Clicking a category link takes you to pages of items, all modeled by beautiful people, of course.
Choose a thumbnail and the photo enlarges and a short description and price can be seen. You can further enlarge the photo if you want. If you want an item, pick a size and color and add it to your cart.
When you are done shopping, it's checkout time.
Fill out your name, address, phone number, and email address and continue to the next screen. There, you will see your total. Orders over $50.00 ship free in the US which is a great deal. Under that amount, there is a chart on the site to let you know your shipping charges. I was charged tax. I don't know if everyone is or just those in New York since the company is based in New York State but I was stuck with it.
You then choose a major credit card or paypal.
Input the credit card number and expiry or use paypal and you are done. You get a confirmation number and a letter right away. You get another email in about three days informing you that the order has shipping.
Your package will arrive in around a week after notice of shipping discretely packaged.
My Experience
I enjoyed browsing. Some of the items were typical Frederick's of Hollywood things but at lower prices. Other things were actually fairly unique and very sexy. There was nothing very demure on the site but nothing shockingly kinky either. Just a lot of sexy lingerie and clothing. The shoes are typical 15 inch high heels that no one in the real world can walk in so I bypassed that area totally.
I was pleasantly surprised to see models of all sizes wearing the merchandise. Even in the misses area, there were some plus sized models wearing lingerie. I am not plus sized but it is always nice to see real people wearing things rather than airbrushed picture perfect stick figured women page after page.
I found a few things I wanted and was happy with the prices. They were Fredericks of Hollywood looking or better but much lower priced. In my cart they went and checkout was quick and painless.
I wasn't thrilled with being charged tax but I got free shipping so I was satisfied.
I received a letter immediately and a few days later, a shipping confirmation. My items arrived in a week or so and were packed simply and discreetly.
Quality is fine. The stuff I bought wasn't overly expensive by any means and I didn't expect anything to be upscale boutique quality. But it was as described and true to size. I had no problems at all with my order.
Shipping and Returns
Shipping is free for orders over $50.00 in the US. Below that amount, shipping ranges from $4.95 to $8.95. They ship internationally as well and there is a shipping chart on the site with shipping quotes for those outside the US.
You can return anything you purchase within 30 days of receipt in unworn condition. I assume you can try things on, though, and if they don't fit, return them. That is both good and bad in a way. I am happy because if something doesn't fit, I am not stuck with it. On the other hand, I am not sure I want to buy something someone else tried on and sent back. But that is no different from any brick and mortar store you will frequent so I say the returns policy is a definite plus.

Conclusion
The variety and quality of the items sold on this site are quite good. There is something for everyone from very petite to size 3X.
The size charts are very accurate and the returns policy is good.
I like what I bought at Lingerie Exotique, Inc. While their items aren't really all that exotic, they are sexy and pretty and range from fairly tame to fairly wild. Prices are good as well. They're not the lowest I ever saw on the net but they are lower than many other similar lingerie websites.
I give this site 4 stars. It's a fun place to buy spicy, sexy lingerie and related items that doesn't leave a huge dent in your wallet (or garter as the case may be...)
