Macy's offers more items than most onliners (clothing for all ages and household products) but shopping for sales is important because list prices are sometimes more than other stores.
Those sales prices bring the cost down below searching and cost comparing although I did have a bad experience buying boots there. Using a specialty shoe retailer may be be better.
For shoppers who like a department store feel, Macy's will probably work for you. Buying for everyone in the family at one site like Macy's certainly is faster although you will want to watch for sales.
Right now, I would shop Macy's.com for the convenient bridal registry. I expect more from an upscale brick and mortar "gone online."
