Scentiments.com is the first place I look when buying fragrances for myself or anyone else as gifts.
The website is very easy to navigate. You simply click on women's or men's fragrances, then click on the letter of the alphabet of the name of the fragrance you want to buy. Up comes all the fragrances sold that begin with that letter. Scroll until you find the one you want and then check out the different sizes and whether there are "testers" of the same fragrance for cheaper, if that is something you're interested in. You can also so a search for a fragrance by name or designer and bypass all the scrolling.
Click on the name of the fragrance and up comes a page with a picture of the fragrance and a short description along with the top, middle and bottom notes it contains. You get the size of the bottle and the price and, if it's all to your liking, just click to put it onto your shopping cart.
There are clearance specials and sales and the testers, which are unused bottles of the same name brand fragrances only without the fancy cap or the fancy box, can save you a lot of money. I always go for the testers first because I don't care what the box or cap look like, I want what is inside!

One really cool feature I have used and have not seen anywhere else, is the "Fragrance Guru." For those who are looking for a certain type of fragrance but aren't sure what to buy or who have questions pertaining to a specific perfume, you can write to the "Guru" and usually with 24 hours, you will receive an email with his recommendations and answers to your questions. It was the Guru who suggested D & G's Light Blue to me after I described the kind of scent I was longing for and lo and behold, I am completely addicted to it now. He has yet to fail me when I have been searching for something but wasn't quite sure what to buy. Do take advantage of this free, no purchase required service!
There are a few negatives to the site, however.
I find that some of the popular fragrances are sold out and I have to be put on a "notification list" to alert me when they are restocked. They have always notified me immediately when an item I wanted was in stock, although as many as three to four weeks have passed between wanting to purchase it and it being restocked. I usually wait. But if it is a gift, I am forced to go elsewhere for the product.
The only other thing that I should point out about the site is that it isn't really info friendly. It gives you the bare amount of information about the product and sometimes, not even that. If you know exactly what you want, that doesn't matter. If you're searching for something but aren't quite sure what you want, you may have to do a little research at a more expensive site about a fragrance, then come back and purchase it at scentiments.com. That's what I do when I don't want to wait for the Guru to guide me.
Other than that, it's hard to find any faults with the site. It's simple, clean and very easy to navigate. The products are fresh and as described. I have never had a shipping problem. You can return the items for a full refund if you aren't satisfied which is an amazing feature considering you can try the fragrance on and, if you don't like it, send it back for a refund or exchange. I have only sent one item back but was refunded promptly without any hassle.
If you are looking for a brand name fragrance, try www.scentiments.com first. Their prices are usually lower than many other sites and, if you don't mind a plain box or a simple cap rather than a fancy one, the testers can save you a load of cash. They also have gift sets that are sold well below department store prices.
