Many of you are probably like me. You like sweets but you know you have to eat them in moderation. You want all natural food but can't find it and, if you do, it tastes like straw. Well, I have the answer for you! It took me years to find a product that was everything I wanted — and that tasted great. I like the "Walk It Off" feature which actually tells you how long it will take to walk off one of their muffins or brownies (13 minutes to walk off a two ounce Vitamuffin for example).
There are several varieties of muffins, tops, and other treats and several combinations you can choose from. Once you make your choices and put them in your cart, you're off to the checkout where you input the usual information and use a credit card to complete your order.
Because these items are all baked fresh and have no preservatives, they will come to you frozen and you must immediately freeze them to keep them from spoiling.
You will get a tracking number and an approximate date of arrival and should make every effort to be home when the order comes so you can freeze the products when they arrive.
The site has FAQ's for those visiting for the first time, full ingredients lists, and a list of vitamins and minerals, fiber, carbs, etc in each product as well as the amount of fiber, which is always over five grams and sometimes well over 10 per serving!
Everything is simply laid out and fully explained to you. The only problem with the site is deciding what to buy.
Quality and Taste
When I made my first Vitalicious order, I was skeptical. I have had my share of bad experiences with "health food" and I imagined these muffins would be dry and tasteless or, worse, have a bad taste. I was most pleasantly surprised when my order came.
I ordered both the smaller two ounce muffins and the big four ounce ones as well as some Vitatops, which are just flat muffin tops without the muffin wrapper or crumbs.
They have several varieties and I had ordered all of them in a sampler pack. Each one was as good as the one before it. Big real fruit chunks grace the top of the muffins, the texture is moist and sweet, and the flavor is amazingly natural and tasty. I would never have known they were "healthy" if I hadn't ordered them myself.
Everything comes individually wrapped which is a good thing if you want to carry one to work with you or are on the go. Because they have to be stored in the freezer, I will either take one out and let it defrost on its own for a couple hours or zap it in the microwave for 20 seconds.
With 100% of most vitamins and either no or an incremental amount of fat (and never any trans fatty acids), these are deserts that are actually better for you than what you often have for dinner. The two ounce muffins are the perfect size for snack and are only 100 calories. The jumbo four ounce muffins make a great breakfast on the go that you don't have to feel guilty about eating at only 200 calories apiece.
Quality and taste are honestly second to none and, if you like chocolate, their new chocolate muffins and brownies will scratch that itch and give you vitamins and fiber and barely any fat at all.
Pricing
Well, all this goodness does come at a price. The products aren't over the top expensive but they are not cheap either. One dozen four ounce muffins is $18.00 or $1.50 a muffin. I don't know how much places like Dunkin' Donuts charges but, for me, the extra cost is well worth the health benefits. The smaller snack sized muffins clock in at 94 cents each.
I find that I spend about $40 per month on a combination of products on this site. That will give me plenty to snack on, enjoy for breakfast, and begrudgingly share with the family if need be. I eat at least one top or muffin a day. You may only want one a week. It all depends on your individual needs and desires.
Shipping
Shipping costs start at around $4.95 and goes up depending on weight. I pay about $7.00 for my $40.00 orders to be shipped via UPS Ground. The site doesn't give you a break down on how much shipping is until you get to the end, which is a minor annoyance. I like to know up front how much shipping will be with no surprises.
There is a page on the site that will help you to determine how long it will take for your order to arrive. Since everything is freshly baked, they ship out twice weekly. You can look up your state and the day you ordered and get an idea of when to expect your items.

Conclusion
Vitalicious fills a very important need. We want to treat ourselves to sweets and snacks but we also want to eat healthy and stay trim. You can do all that with Vitalicious products. These are not "diet" products. They are all natural, no preservative, high in vitamins and fiber, and very low fat (or no fat) sweets that will change your mind about "health foods". Nutrition bars are great but sometimes you want a real, fresh, delicious desert. Enter Vitalicious. Individually wrapped, they're good on the go or at home and they contain either 50% (two ounce muffins and tops) or 100% (four ounce muffins) of the 10 most important vitamins your body needs. They are a good source of protein, a very good source of fiber (which none of us get enough of), and they satisfy hunger like crazy. One little muffin feels like I ate a whole cake! I am not sure if it is because of the fiber or what, but these things fill you up and keep you full for a long time. Although the products aren't cheap, I think they are reasonable for the quality.
