A Trendy Site for Young Girls and the Young at Heart but Limited Sizes Frustrate

Wet Seal is a fun website for the young and young at heart. I have never had any issues with my orders and I enjoy their youthful clothing but the sizes are very limited. If you are over a size Large in junior's on top or a nine in general on the bottom, you will find just a handful of offerings on the site. (Top sometimes go to XL and bottoms go to size 15 but finding those is tough.)
What the Site Sells
This site sells girls and young women's clothing, shoes, and accessories. Sizes range from XS to L or, at times XL in tops and, in general, only to size 9-11 in juniors in pants and skirts. Occasionally, you will find up to size 15 in bottoms.
Navigation and Ordering
The site is fairly easy to navigate with major categories at the top and many subcategories on the home page. There is also a search box for inputting keywords.
The items are broken into pages of thumbnails. Clicking brings up a larger photo — not on a model — and a brief description of the item.
Many items come in limited sizes or are out of stock. The turnover is very fast so, if you like something and it is there in the size you need, get it right away. Chances are it will be out of stock the next day.
They don't put the inseam length for jeans and pants much of the time and that can be an issue for taller or shorter girls/women.
Prices are very good on this site compared to many others. I bought a pair of good quality skinny jeans for $20.50. I also picked up a cute top for $14.50 which was of good quality.

You don't have to register to check out but, if you do, you will get promotional emails and percentage off deals. Your basic info will be stored as well for easy reordering.
Shipping is a flat $7.00 for standard shipping in the US for orders under $70.00. It is free for orders over that.
There are two expedited shipping choices for a higher fee.
For $20.00, you can buy a Seal the Deal card and save 20% off your first purchase and 10% off every other purchase you make for a year. It is definitely worth the cost if you shop on the site more than just once in a while. I don't have a Wet Seal store near me but I believe the card is also good at the brick and mortar store as well.
If you have a Seal the Deal card, you will enter that number before continuing on to pay.
Enter a major credit card number and expiry and you are done. You will get a confirmation email and a shipping one.
Orders, for me, generally come quickly — five to six days after I get my shipping email.
My Experiences
I had been frustrated several times when I found something I wanted and saw it wasn't available in my size. Many items are out of stock or are only in a couple of sizes.
However, when I have found what I wanted, I have been pleased with my transactions.
I am a size three in jeans but can go to a five at times and there is no real sizing chart on the site so buying was hit and miss until I was sure of how things ran. In general, things run true to junior's sizes.
Parents of younger girls will appreciate the low prices compared to sites like Delia's and others. This is definitely a trendy site with very affordable prices.
Shipping is reasonable or free depending on the amount of the purchase which is a plus.
I was charged tax which I hate but it is something I have become used to living in New York.
My orders have always gone through fine and I was charged appropriately. The came quickly and as described.
Obviously, the styles are young and trendy and I don't shop there often for myself but I do like the low priced trendy jeans.
I have not had any problems shopping on the site. I just wish they would keep things in stock and in the sizes they carry. It's frustrating finding something I want only to find it is only sold in size 00 or not in stock at all.
Shipping and Returns
Shipping in the US is a flat $7.00 for orders under $70.00. It is free for orders over that amount. There are two expedited shipping choices for $14.00 (2 day) or $25.00 (Next day).
Returns are accepted for everything but swimwear and intimate apparel. You can send the items back to the site for an exchange or refund within 30 days of receipt of purchase. You can also return unworn, tagged items to any Wet Seal store with your receipt.
You will not get your shipping charges back and you must pay for mailing the items to the site if you choose to return them that way.
Conclusion
Wet Seal is a trendy, inexpensive site for preteen and teen girls and young at heart women. They have cute styles in several varieties but their stock is in and out and often, items are available only in a size or two or are out of stock completely.
Don't wait. If something you like is in stock in your size, get it while you can. Often items go out of stock and stay that way for a long time.
I have had no issues with my orders arriving on time and the quality.
My only issue is the frustration I have trying to find the size I need in items I like.
This site would be a 4 star site for me if they had all sizes regularly stocked, but, because they don't, I am going with 3. Still, it's well worth a look if you have young girls to buy for or it you like youthful trendy — but inexpensive — clothing and accessories
